Proposing Innovative Solutions

Observe care-related issues in daily life, such as those faced by the elderly, patients with chronic diseases, pregnant women, and resource allocation in caregiving, etc. Utilize innovative technologies from STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), including artificial intelligence, big data, the Internet of Things (IoT), smart wearable devices, and AR/VR, etc., to develop creative solutions.

歡迎全國高中職學生(專三以下)以團隊形式參加,每隊1至5人。

團隊報名,人數以至多5人為限組成(不含指導老師,指導老師可為校內任一教師)。

  • 可跨校組隊,需提供在學證明。

  • 每隊可指派一位指導老師,老師可參與多隊指導。

  • 報名需提交授權同意書與無侵權切結書。

大專暨國際組可由學生身分(大專含以上)、研究助理、博士後研究員、國際學術單位之科學研究人員皆可組團報名,團隊人數至多5人為限。

Technology x Care: AI+STEM Smart Care Innovation Competition-College and International group is a team competition open to students (college or above), research assistants, postdoctoral researchers, and researchers at international institutes of academic research, group member limited to 5 people.

Procedures

線上匿名書面審查制 (請勿在作品封面透露個人或學校資料)

提交圖文形式的構想說明書,無需成品展示(如具有成品可於決賽呈現)。

初賽

Submissions will be evaluated through an anonymous written review (do not include personal or school information on the cover).

Participants must submit a written concept proposal with accompanying visuals (hand-drawn images are acceptable if clear). A physical product is not required for the preliminary round, but it can be presented during the finals if available.

初賽遴選6至8組進入決賽,參賽者需進行現場簡報演講(限投影片),闡述自己的構想。

決賽不需成品展示,如有成品者可於現場呈現,以輔助闡述構想的可行性和潛在影響力。

決賽將於預計於2025年5月週六舉行,最新消息將持續更新。

採現場【口頭報告】7分鐘與【評委答詢】5分鐘,共計12分鐘/組。

Finals

決賽

Six to eight teams from the preliminary round will advance to the finals. Finalists must deliver an on-site or online (only for finalists abroad) presentation (slides only) to explain their concept. While a physical product is not mandatory for the finals, teams with prototypes may showcase them on-site or online to support the feasibility and potential impact of their concept.

Finals & Awards Ceremony: Scheduled for a Saturday in May 2025.

Updates will be provided as soon as available. Each finalist will have 12 minutes, which will be comprised of a 7-minute [oral presentation] both on-site and online (only for finalists abroad) and a 5-minute [Jury Q&A].

  • ​入圍決賽的隊伍可獲得每隊 2,000 元競賽獎勵金,需參與決賽現場發表方能領取。

  • 女性菁英獎,限決賽報告者為女性即納入評量。

  • Teams that advance to the finals will receive a competition reward of 2,000 TWD per team, but this amount can only be collected if they participate in the on-site or online (only for finalists abroad) presentation.

注意事項 Rules

Rules
  1. 參賽隊伍應尊重評選委員之決定,對評選結果不得異議。

  2. 參賽作品應繳之相關資料延遲交件者,取消參賽資格,參賽者提交之所有資料,賽後不予退還,請參賽者自行備份。

  3. 參賽之初賽資料不可露出學校及參賽者個人資料,露出之作品將予以扣分處分。

  4. 同一研究主題或內容不得跨組參加競賽,可跨校組隊。

  5. 參賽隊伍所產生之各項資料與成果等內容,如作品說明書、簡報、成品等,其一切智慧財產權歸該參賽隊伍所有,但須無償授權給主辦單位及其所指定之第三人使用,授權使用範圍限於本競賽相關與賽後的推廣展示(包括活動紀錄、書面及網路展示成果等用途),不得另作為營利或其他範圍使用。

  6. 基於非營利、推廣之目的,參賽作品如獲獎,應授權主辦單位及其所指定之第三人得無償(包含但不限於重製、散布、發行、公開展示、公開播送、公開傳輸)製作本競賽之獲獎作品集。

  7. 若參賽作品有參考先前作品或他人開發之軟硬體、服務等,或與他人開發之軟硬體、服務相似,應於作品中主動說明其差異性;若有使用他人原始碼或技術等,參賽隊伍應於參賽作品中主動說明並註明出處。

  8. 本次決賽為開放式口頭報告型式,若報告內容可能涉及各參賽者目前擁有專利或技術,機密性資料內容請自行斟酌呈現。

  9. 參賽作品不得侵害他人智慧財產權,不得冒用、拷貝、仿冒、抄襲、數據造假。違反「智慧財產權相關事項」第3項和第4項者不予評選,一經主辦單位發現或他人檢舉經主辦單位查證屬實者,取消參賽資格及獲獎資格,獎金及獎狀如數繳回。若參賽作品涉及侵害他人智慧財產權之法律責任由參賽者自行負責,與主辦單位無關。

  10. 參賽作品內文應為自行發想,創意來源可為各管道(報章雜誌、科幻小說、電影…等),唯作品書內文不得有抄襲或由他人代勞之情事,如經人檢舉或告發且有具體事實者,取消參賽資格,如已獲獎,則撤銷獲得之獎項,並追回獎金及獎狀。

  11. 參賽隊伍應同意提供個人資料予主辦單位,主辦單位將遵循「個人資料保護法」,於本競賽之特定目的的範圍內蒐集、處理與利用參賽隊伍的個人資料。參賽隊伍有權透過主辦單位聯絡信箱提出要求使用、更正、補充及刪除參賽組員所提供之個人資料,惟活動結束前提出刪除個人資料者,視同放棄參加本競賽。

  12. 凡參與本競賽之參賽隊伍,即視為同意授權主辦單位使用參賽作品內容與參賽組員個人肖像權,且同意參與主辦單位安排之宣傳規則,包含但不限於媒體專訪、廣編報導等。

  13. 參賽隊伍如違反本競賽辦法之相關規定,將取消其參賽資格,如已獲獎,則撤銷獲得之獎項,並追回獎金及獎狀。

  14. 曾參與本競賽但未得獎之作品,業經修改精進後,得再次參賽,但應於作品內揭露參賽記錄、本次改進部分或審查委員評語。

  15. 得獎隊伍獲得獎金應配合中華民國稅法繳交相關所得稅。

  16. 如有以上未盡事宜,視當時狀況共同商議之,主辦單位保有最終修改、變更、活動解釋及取消本活動之權利,若有相關異動將會公告於網站,恕不另行通知。

  17. 凡參加報名者,視為已閱讀並完全同意遵守本活動之一切規定。

  1. Participants/ participating teams shall respect the jury’s decision and shall not object to award decisions.

  2. Participants/ participating teams that fail to submit required forms and submissions before the deadline shall be disqualified. The organizer will not return any of the information submitted by the participants/ participating teams; please make sure to keep a copy.

  3. Information submitted for the qualifier shall not reveal the participant/ participating team’s personal information or school, or will otherwise face penalties of point deductions.

  4. Participants cannot enter the competition with the same research topic or content across different divisions, but teams may consist of members from different universities.

  5. The participating team owns the intellectual property of any content produced for the competition, i.e., proposals, conceptual plan, presentation, results, etc., but shall authorize the organizer or any third party designated by the organizer to use the aforementioned contents for free to promote the competition, during or after, (inc. event records and printed/ online content to showcase the competition). The organizer or any designated third parties shall not use the aforementioned content for commercial purposes or for purposes outside the designated scope.

  6. The winner shall authorize the organizer and any third party designated by the authorizer to produce (including but not limited to reprint, distribute, publish, exhibit, broadcast, and transmit) a portfolio for free, but only for the purposes of promoting the competition.

  7. If the entry references previous works, software, hardware, and services developed by other parties or is similar to software, hardware, and services developed by other parties, participants/ participating teams shall explain the differences. Please cite the source of any source codes or technologies.

  8. For the finals, participants/ participating teams shall deliver an oral presentation. If the content pertains to any patents or technologies developed by participants, please present any confidential information at your discretion.

  9. Entries shall not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others, and shall not be imitated, copied, replicated, plagiarized, or falsified. The jury will not judge any entries in violation of Items 3 and 4 of the Matters on Intellectual Property Rights. If the organizer investigates and confirms findings or allegations of violations, the organizer shall eliminate the participant/ participating team from the competition and rescind all awards and prizes issued. The participant/ participating team, not the organizer, is legally liable for any intellectual property right infringements.

  10. The content of the submitted works must be original and conceived by the participants. Creative inspiration may come from various sources (such as newspapers, magazines, science fiction novels, films, etc.), but the submission must not contain any plagiarism or work completed by others. If a report or accusation is made with concrete evidence, the participant's eligibility will be revoked. If an award has already been granted, it will be rescinded, and any prize money and certificates will be reclaimed.

  11. Participating teams must agree to provide personal information to the organizer. The organizer will collect, process, and use the teams’ personal information for the competition in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act. Participating teams have the rights to contact the organizer through email to request the usage, correction, addition, or deletion of personal information provided by participants. Those that choose to delete their personal information before the competition is over shall be disqualified.

  12. All participating teams shall release their entry content and portrait rights to the organizer and will comply with marketing campaigns arranged by the organizer, including but not limited to media interviews, news reports, etc.

  13. Participating teams in violation of competition rules will be disqualified. If the awards and prizes have already been awarded, the organizer shall rescind awards and recover any prizes or certificates.

  14. Works that have previously participated in this competition but did not win can be submitted again after modifications and improvements. However, participants must disclose the competition history of the work, the improvements made, and any comments from the review committee within the submission.

  15. Prize recipients shall pay all taxes in compliance with the Income Tax Act of ROC Taiwan.

  16. For matters not mentioned herein, the organizer will discuss and determine a solution depending on the situation. The organizer reserves the right to modify, change, explain, and cancel the event. All changes will be announced on the official website and only on the official website.

  17. Participants/ participating teams that enter the competition have read and agreed to all the competition rules.
